10 Oct Luxury homes on parade in Nashville
When you go to a Parade of Homes in Nashville, you know you’re going to see alot of gorgeous design but there were so many jaw dropping moments at this one at Witherspoon in Brentwood.
I confess I only made it through several, but I would suggest any of you living nearby try to see all six of them. I’m going to highlight some of the most beautiful rooms, and when you finish this, head over to the “Favorites” section to see more unique features.
First stop, Castle Home’s Contemporary English Country style home with its bank of Lutyens style front windows (inspired by English architect Sir Edwin Lutyens).
I had a fit over the unique shutters you see to the left of the front courtyard, made by Vintage Millworks in Nashville. More on those in my “Favorites” section of the blog!
The soft and sophisticated living room decorated by The Iron Gate in Franklin is my cup of tea. Just yummy. And that ceiling! Castle Home’s in-house design team led by Joy Huber did a splendid job on this home. We got to know Joy when Castle built our home last year.
The team also came up with a very clever split-banquette in the kitchen’s breakfast room. It was so nice to catch up with Joy and a rare thing since she’s so busy. The lovely flowers were provided by Tim Riffle Environments.
The master bedroom made me sleepy. I wanted to crawl into that luscious bed and lounge in the luxe velvet chairs too. It really felt like a cocoon.
The master bath has a Walker Zanger antiqued white marble floor that’s heated. Imagine that in the winter?!? The counters are White Nuvalato marble with nickel silver faucets, and the free-standing tub is made by Kohler.
The other house that was a showstopper on the tour was built by Austin Pennington of Barlow Builders.
The 9000 square foot English Tudor inspired home would have to appeal to a wine lover with this dining room when you walk in the front door that boasts a floor to ceiling climate controlled wine cellar with steel and glass doors. So convenient for your next dinner party.
Mrs. Paranjape Design + Interiors, Lori Paranjape, put her magic touch on the home that’s visible at every turn.
This study is such a stunner with the dark walls and interesting mix of rugs and art plus the splashy curtains.
Then the kitchen picks up that dark theme with the cabinets. So dramatic with the light quartz topped island with brushed brass toe kick and other brass accents that are part of the hood. Architect Champ Webb of C. W. Design says there’s a fine line with a show home; you have to bring the “wow factor” while maintaining functionality.” That is evident throughout the home.
The master suite is drop dead gorgeous with a fireplace, beams and a master bath and “her” closet that I’ll save for the Favorites section! You don’t want to miss these, trust me.
Then what I would consider the adult lounge can be found in the basement. A combination whiskey and cigar room awaits with a bourbon bar behind steel and glass doors.
I’ve saved many other features from both houses for my Favorites section; (just click on Favorites at the top of this page).
If you can make it to the Parade of Homes, it’s going on through October 22nd at Witherspoon in Brentwood. There are ideas galore, and if you’re in the market for a gorgeous new home, you may be in luck.
