Hilltop retreat

Most of you already know that our little piece of heaven in Middle Tennessee is bursting at the seams with new people moving here to enjoy what we’ve been enjoying for a long time. The weather, the rolling hills, the friendly people, and the way of life. But it’s getting harder and harder to find the right house. Inventory is low. However, there are very special chunks of land that are still around, like this one.

This magnificent view of the hills of Middle Tennessee has been a lucky couple’s for almost thirty years but the time has come for them to move on and so a new chapter begins for someone else who wants a getaway that’s only minutes from Franklin. Forty acres of gated property in Williamson County that can accommodate horses or cattle surround the home that was designed by architect Manuel Zeitlin.

The custom home boasts 21-hundred square feet of outdoor living space on porches and decks around the house. There are so many options of where to sit and gaze at the sky. But if you stay inside, you can see how the windows give homeowners a connection to the outdoors with views of nature at every turn.

When you walk inside the front door, you’ll find yourself in a home with an open floor plan that creates harmony between nature and the indoors. The gourmet kitchen includes lovely streamlined cabinetry, double Wolf ovens, refrigerator drawers and a built in coffee station. A banquette is another cozy spot to sit and look at the beautiful trees surrounding the home.

The main living room also has lovely cabinetry that hides the television. But who really wants to watch TV when you have a bird’s eye view of the weather, wildlife and whatever show mother nature is putting on at any given moment, day or night!!!

It’s also worth noting the wood decking on the main level is extremely durable. It’s Brazilian Ipe wood. (pronounced EE-pay) What’s that? It’s world-renowned for its superior characteristics. It’s one of the hardest woods in the world which lends itself to durability and longevity. It’s also naturally resistant to mold, insect attack, rot, fire and decay.

This deck is accessible from the kitchen, living room and primary suite which is dreamy.

Smart home automation includes speakers throughout the home and clever electric blinds that are especially convenient in the private and spacious primary suite that includes a spa bath with separate vanities, a steam shower, jacuzzi tub and abundant natural light.

And all you’ve seen so far is just the main level. There are two other levels with lots of surprises. I’ll share a few more highlights to peak your interest! How about a safe room, art studio, home office and a kitchenette???

As my grandmother used to say, they’re not making any more land and this is spectacular. So giddyup and bring your horses or cattle and come call this retreat home.
